Anniversary celebration for Rev. Kito D. March, Sr.

    By Earlene S. Horne

Licensed to preach at the age of 16, Rev. Kito D. March was ordained and became Senior Pastor/Teacher at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama at the age of 19. He served faithfully for three years until God directed him to his next pastorate assignment at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Brundidge, Ala. where he labored in the vineyard for five years. In November 2003, he accepted an appointment as Youth Pastor with Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Fla.

According to God’s divine plan in 2011, Reverend Kito D. March, Sr. started his assignment as pastor of the Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church succeeding Rev. Dr. Moses Monroe, Sr. who served as the church’s pastor for 57 years. Immediately prior to joining the Mount Nebo family, Rev. March served as senior pastor at St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church in Perrine, Fla.

Under the leadership of Rev. March, the Mount Nebo family is worshiping under his vision of “One Church, One Voice” and our “Determined to Win” 2013 theme. We invite you to worship with us as we celebrate our pastor and his family at the following services: Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, 4 p.m. – Rev. James Kinchen of Mount Carmel MBC, Miami; Tuesday, Oct. 8, 7:30 p.m.  – Dr. Jimmy Bryant of Antioch MBC, Liberty City; Wednesday, Oct. 9, 7:30 p.m. – Rev. G. Bernard Pope of New Bethel BC, Dania; Thursday, Oct. 10, 7:30 p.m.  –  Dr. Marcus Davidson of New Mount Olive Baptist Church, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Sunday, Oct. 13, 7:15 & 11 a.m. – Dr. Jerry McAfee of New Salem MBC, Minneapolis, Minn. Rev.

March has been married to the former LeJeune Monique Blocker since 1994 and they have been blessed with two wonderful children, Kierra Daunique and Kito, Jr.

The celebration services will be held at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church located at 2251 Rev. Dr. Moses Monroe, Sr. St. (Northwest 22nd Street) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.  For more information, please call the church at (954) 733-3606 or (954) 806-6274.
