Will America ever find the path to freedom between the rich, poor and the races?

As history has recorded, during 1951 President Harry S. Truman filed the original documents the Board of Education. 1954, Dwight D. Eisenhower was President when the Supreme Court ruled on the Board of Education that still took a few years to actually be legally enforced  by the law and to be initiated around the country, but still with strong physical resistance. While still struggling to find peace, equal justice and civil rights between the races, President John F. Kennedy continued to assist Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in his movement to erase segregation, and to pass the civil rights bill without problems.

The Civil Rights Bill was later signed by Lyndon B Johnson after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, November 22, 1963, and five years later with the assassination of  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on April 4, 1968 in Memphis at the Loraine Motel, where I had just left three days prior. The signing of the Civil Rights Bill gave much support and assistance to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in his Journey for Freedom, Peace, Equal Justice, and civil rights for all Americans. However, I am a Baby Boomer born in the 1940s; I distinctly remember the Bay of Pigs attempt to invade Cuba in 1961 and how it affected the whole of America, when many Cuban Americans died on the South coast shore of Cuba.

Castro was not pleased with that Cuban American failed invasion attempt, when just a year prior he emptied his jails of criminal elements, Psychiatric hospitals, and some medically ill patients, and many other Cubans by a Cuban Boat Lift to America’s shores of Miami, Florida which has not been the same since then.

However, that horrific event did change Miami and the Cuban ’’ social and political climates tremendously.

It is now past the time that we must embrace our President Barack Obama to help him continue accomplishing his mission to create equality, freedom, Justice, and Civil Rights for all Americans just as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., died fighting for in many American cities. However, this cannot be achieved with racism still on the rise. We must uncover every stone of inequality, racism and bigotry with discrimination with legal vigor. We also do understand we cannot dictate morality or change peoples’ hearts to feel and act with empathy, compassion, honesty, and with truth and love. We must also learn to tolerate our differences through Social and Political education, and with much prayer.

My belief is that somehow this must be achieved for all people in America in order for them to be free with an equal chance to accomplish their goals and aspirations peacefully with equality in spite of our differences. America would then be able to move forward as the Greatest Nation in the world. America must do this to survive its’ dilemmas.
