God love the Gantt Report

      God loves The Gantt Report! I’ll try to explain that but first I’ll write a little bit about the people that hate the column and subsequently despise the author.

Some highly respected media critics have described The Gantt Report as “the best” opinion column written by an African American journalist. “Best” is in the eye of the beholder but there are also others that say they hate The Gantt Report!

Some people that hate The Gantt Report have threatened my life, they have contacted my business clients and associates and requested that I be fired or terminated, they have questioned and chastised my friends and admirers and they have contacted most, if not all, of the media outlets that publish The Gantt Report and asked that the column be discontinued!

Many young people have problems with TGR. No disrespect, but I attribute much of the youthful displeasure with The Gantt Report and similar columns to ignorance! Young people don’t know the struggles, the sacrifices, the compromises or the road blocks that their parents, their grandparents and their ancestors had to face to just survive, to maintain a family and to provide for youngsters that could care less about their history and how that history relates to and impacts their present and their future.

However, TGR is hated most by people that dislike the column’s use of descriptive words like devils and beasts!

Whenever I write something like “The Devil Loves A Fire” I’m flooded with   emails and other messages that say I am a racist or that I don’t like white people.

I’d like to tell the readers of The Gantt Report that I love all of my neighbors. In fact, many of my best friends are Caucasian and white people have saved my life on more than one occasion.

We all know about the red guy with horns and pitch forks but are there other devils? I think so.

Webster’s dictionary describes devils as “evil spirits”, “something evil or bad” or a “wicked or malevolent” person. A beast is someone with animalistic qualities or characteristics.

When The Gantt Report discusses beasts and devils it is referring to bad people of whatever color that does evil, wicked, harmful, hurtful, hateful, wrongful, malevolent, insensitive, racially motivated, abusive, destructive and other terrible things.

Now, a rudimentary glance at the backgrounds of The Gantt Report’s most vocal critics will reveal that many are Tea Party members, many are neo-nazis, many are skinheads and many are slimy, degenerate, sheet-wearing cross burning idiots that merely hate the truth, especially when that truth is mentioned by a Black man.

If you’re not afraid of the devil, the devil is afraid of you! And, anyone that the devil can’t control, the devil will try to destroy!

Well, The Gantt Report is never scared and a wicked person will never be able to control a soldier in God’s Army!

So, as long as God loves and protects his children, his messengers and his saints God will love The Gantt Report.
