    By Joy Oglesby

SUNRISE, FLORIDA – The Florida Panthers today announced the extension of their partnership with Broward Health. As part of the partnership, Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health will become the ‘Official Pediatric Hospital’ of the club.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with a world-class hospital like Broward Health,” said Panthers Vice President of Corporate Partnerships & Premium Sales Katerina Perez. “Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital is in our territory and we look forward to collaborating to serve and support the hospital, its patients and physicians.”

Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital will debut a new Florida Panthers deco-rated family room that is expected to be completed by December 2019. “We are very excited to have partnered with the Florida Panthers,” said Gino Santorio, President/CEO, Broward Health. “This agreement enables Broward Health to more fully engage with our community through a sport and team we all love.”

The Florida Panthers Foundation will award Bro-ward Health with a Comm-unity Champions grant during the 2019-20 season which will go towards their Child Life program.

“As a former pediatric nurse, I have witnessed first-hand the positive impact sports can play on a child’s mindset and recovery,” said Broward Health Medical Center and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital CEO Heather Havericak. “With the Panthers’ support we will continue to ensure that the kids of our community receive exceptional care through advanced technology and child life support.”
