“Mortality resides in the creations of mortals; mortals created Democracy and the U.S. Constitution; therefore, Democracy and the U.S. Constitution face an ensuing mortality.” John Johnson II 06/18/25
By John Johnson II
America, conceived in iniquity by white mortal men in 1776, remains grounded in a white supremacy ideology. The Founding Fathers recognized that within this new Country, they possessed a rare opportunity to experiment using Democracy to manage this government and its people. Despite the Founding Fathers faithful efforts of establishing separate branches of government to guard against a Monarch, they recognized that they could not account for man’s eroding integrity and America’s ensuing mortality.
America, if viewed as though it is a human body, is terminally ill and struggling to avoid placement on life support. We must all stop and ask, “How could the richest and most powerful Country in the world be facing death from within?” The human body has an immune system to protect itself from illness and diseases, but not mortality. When it fails, the body succumbs to its mortal fate.
Summarily, America has its own immune system in the form of Separate branches of government (checks and balances), and a Court system headed by the Supreme Court. This system’s organizational structure protects our government from succumbing to human immoral and political sins such as greed, corruption, abuse of power, bribery, ignorance, hypocrisy, polarization, nepotism, and electoral fraud. Likewise, failure of this system highlights America’s ensuing mortality.
President Trump as America’s Commander-In-Chief somehow personifies the once Captain of the ill-fated Titanic. However, will President Trump chart a course that ensures Democracy prevails or suffer a perilous ending? Republican Congresspersons cannot afford to behave as the Titanic’s crew or its faithful band members.
Americans have a poor record of focusing on their own personal health while turning a “blind eye” to the fact Democracy faces a perilous fate. Currently, the treasury department must adjust to less revenue from the wealthy, the poor will lose their social net of protection, and Civil Rights fought for by Black people face unraveling. Roland Martin is correct, white, and even Black Americans have become totally engrossed in diversionary events and conversations.
Regrettably, the hot topics include tallying the millions President Trump has accumulated during his
second term, establishing who is the “GOAT” Michael Jordan or LeBron, and discovering will the Cleveland Browns dump Shedeur Sanders in favor of the white rookie, Dillion Gabiel. Do they not realize America is moving towards Fascism? The Supreme Court is experiencing political pressure and concerns about partisanship and conservative influence.
Regardless of these turbulent times, America’s Democracy has survived the Civil War, two world Wars, and the recent insurrection. Whether America’s Democracy survives or continues towards an ensuring mortality, depends on its people’s impregnable resolve to never allow an elected President to be anointed KING or govern as one.
Certainly, countries throughout the world would have never thought that the greatest and most powerful Democracy would face crumbling from within. Sadly, Rome fell due to political corruption and ineptitude. Does this sound familiar?
Hopefully, Americans’ understandings of the meanings of the fairy tale and nursery rhyme “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” and “Humpy Dumpty” will halt our ensuing mortality. The Emperors New Clothes revealed the dangers of vanity, deception and the power of honesty and integrity. Humpy Dumpty revealed the dangers of a Monarchy and provided a symbolism of fragility and inevitability.
