An Open Letter to Donald John Trump, 45th President of the United States of America

(If anyone receiving this letter has direct access to President Trump, please give him this message. Thank you.)

Mr. President,

Ever since you began campaigning in 2011, and were elected President in 2016, you have used this office to spew hate and divisiveness to this nation. This nation was founded as refuge from tyranny and fear. This country was supposed to be a model for the rest of the world to emulate and instill confidence to every inhabitant of this planet.

You have used your rallies as opportunities as Father Charles Edward Coughlin used radio to deliver fascist policies resembling those of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini minus Anti-Semitism. That is due to your son-in-law Jared Kushner and your daughter Ivanka Trump-Kushner being members of the Jewish faith.

The events of this past Saturday and going back to Charlottesville were all due to your rhetoric. Many who committed these atrocious acts felt they were doing your work. They were emboldened.

It’s way past the time to blame others for your actions.

I suggest you do the following:

• Take to the airwaves tomorrow night at 9:00 PM ET and deliver a speech to the nation from the Oval Office as your predecessors have done and deliver this:

Good evening my fellow citizens,

The events of this past Saturday and Sunday were horrific to say the least. I feel somewhat responsible because some individual may have felt I was giving them a mandate to take matters into their own hands. The interests of this nation far outweigh those of my own.

       Therefore I will resign the presidency effective 12 noon tomorrow.

       Chief Justice Roberts will administer the oath to Vice President Pence, thereby making him the 46^th President of the United States. As is a procedure, I have sent a letter of resignation to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

       I have a lot to atone for. I wish to apologize to all if I offended you and I hope that God will forgive me as well.
