    Educator and author LaTanya Brooks is on a mission to inspire young girls to follow their dreams in STEM and beyond. In her most recent books, children and adults alike are encouraged to have fun by coloring while also learning about influential women throughout history. Ms. Brooks puts a poem next to each page about an influential woman in history and what they’ve done for not just women everywhere, but society as a whole. 

     According to Terri Bradford, who researched Black crypto ownership for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, cryptocurrency has gained popularity among African American consumers due to historical context and forward-looking views of young customers.

     Tarver was hired to lead the Fisk gymnastics program in March and holds a highly impressive resume. A former U.S. National Team member, she was the first Black gymnast ever at the University of Georgia. Tarver also was a member of Georgia’s first two NCAA national championship teams, becoming an NCAA champion in the All Around and Floor Exercise in 1989. She’s also the first Black gymnast to win the NCAA All-Around competition.
