Two Broward Health community health centers are helping children prepare for the school year by offering free immunizations and low-cost physical exams. Mobilize to Immunize summer immunizations return, creating even greater access to care for children between the ages of 4 and 18 who are uninsured, have Medicaid, or identify as American Indian or Alaska Native.

       I believe online school is the safest option. Children can get their education and not have to take the risk of going to school and getting COVID-19.

The Salvation Army of Broward County will launch its first local Stuff the Bus Virtual School Supplies Drive in conjunction with Walmart. The drive will kick-off on Monday, August 3, and will offer generous supporters several ways to donate – via Walmart’s online registry, through the organization’s secure donation portal and via drop-offs. All supplies will be distributed to school-aged children in need in Broward County just in time for the start of the new school year on Wednesday, August 19.

Smith has used philanthropy as an avenue to uplift and empower disenfranchised communities. One of his latest projects is focused on Black men’s health. The Vista Equity Partners founder is joining forces with the Prostate Cancer Foundation to address racial disparities surrounding prostate cancer.

Based on details from a Postal Service audit, the Postal Service has missed its own goals for First Class mail delivery for 5 years running, with about 20% of mail failing to arrive after 5 days.

     We honor and serve our community by voting and supporting our candidates of choice in every way possible. John Lewis would be proud to see us help the elderly and disabled get to a polling place and help anyone who might need assistance requesting a vote-by-mail ballot on the BrowardSOE.org website.
