Louisa Gunter, a grandmother from Florida, just recently turned 109-years old. Having been born in 1911, Gunter has lived through both the Spanish flu epidemic in 1918 and the current coronavirus pandemic.

      Protests against police violence continued well into their fifth straight night as outrage spread around the country following the in-custody death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on Memorial Day. From the east coast to the west coast and seemingly every major city in between, protesters set out to make their voices heard as simmering racial tensions were boiling over Saturday night.

     Vigils and protests were organized in Minneapolis and around the United States to demand police accountability. But while investigators and officials called for patience, unrest boiled over. News reports soon carried images of property destruction and police in riot gear.

     During the COVID-19 pandemic, River has been taking to his Instagram live to read his book to his 30,000 social media followers. Being, the young innovator, he is, River has conveyed to his following process of meditation. Also, he has shown social media how to assist with the stress of being homeschooled. All while growing the popularity for his book.

Today, Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeil released a statement endorsing Sheriff Gregory Tony. Sheriff McNeil, the first black sheriff of Leon County, was also formerly Tallahassee Chief of Police when Tony applied to be a member of the local police department in 2003.

       Throughout his professional career spanning over three decades Guy Anthony Wheeler has been encouraging folks from all walks of life, ethnic backgrounds, and socio-economic groups to find their greatness from within. By every metric Wheeler has been a success in every field of endeavor he pursued. Whether on the athletic field, in academia, or professionally his record speaks for itself; never seeking the spotlight but shining the spotlight on those in need.  Wheeler yardstick on success is based on helping others to “BE GREAT!”

As the U. S. House of Representatives awaits the political fate of another multi-trillion dollar coronavirus relief bill, called the “Heroes Act”, Black Wealth 2020 (BW2020), a national catalyst for economic justice for African Americans, is pressing Congressional leaders to unify for equity for the millions of pandemic victims who have yet to receive it.

      Police in Minnesota were being accused of killing an unarmed Black man after a viral video showed an officer pinning down a suspect as he repeated that he could not breathe. The Minneapolis Police Department was quick to announce that no weapons were involved in the man’s death it downplayed as a “medical incident,” but the video prompted speculation on social media of a brutality-induced “killing.”

      “The HEROES Act focuses on real people because consumers drive our economy, and we can’t just leave American families to trickle-down help from businesses,” said Lauren Saunders, associate director of the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC).

       Also, it would be a serious risk to the lives of many people as well as communities. I feel that this decision should be left up to the Pastor or Priest and the Lord, not the political leaders.
