Tennessee State University is the latest HBCU recipient of financial support from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and its Educational Advancement Foundation.  The service organization continued its commitment of creating a $100,000 endowment at each of the nation’s four-year historically Black universities and colleges with a donation to TSU President Glenda Glover.

     “What’s particularly damning about this data is that police were more likely to search Black people than white people yet found contraband in only 41 percent of searches of Black people compared to 72 percent of the searches of white people,” he said. Takei continued: “In other words, the police have a pattern of stopping and searching Black people in circumstances where they would simply let white people go.

Civil Rights Attorney Benjamin Crump boldly announced that he stands with Commissioner Samuel B. Ings for the next Mayor of Orlando.  Attorney Crump, who is best known for fighting high-profile cases involving police shootings of African Americans, spoke at the 2019 summer conference of National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO) held last week in Jackson, Mississippi. 

     In 2019, most Blacks and people of color would like to believe that, “There is Not a Racist Bone in My Body” was an accurate statement in America. With the first African American President, Black businesses in every major city, and Black political officials in federal, state, and local municipalities, diversity is a reality. With all these achievements in one of the greatest countries in the world, there is a major divide.

     “Over the last 20 years,” said Maria Coutts, president of The Coutts Group and a senior officer of the Pennsylvania Builders Association, “the customization of modular homes has a consistent record of matching site-built homes and meeting customer demand, largely due to the use of computer-aided design.
