Let me be a good father, that others might

       Developing meaningful relationships as a first-year student at Clark Atlanta University involves navigating various dynamics and discerning different types of connections. It’s crucial to distinguish between associates and friends, as well as roommates and classmates, and to understand the distinctions between locals and out-of-towners.

    To combat the rising number of child drownings, Florida officials are implementing new water safety measures. According to Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez, 46 children have died from drowning in 2024, emphasizing the need for prevention. Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death among children aged one to four, with most incidents occurring in swimming pools. To address this, officials are advocating for swimming lessons, public education on lifesaving techniques like CPR and first aid, and awareness of weather conditions and rip tides.

     Beyond the museum, Ray founded Ancestral Rays and Ancestral Legacies, organizations dedicated to cultural awareness and youth empowerment. She provided platforms for young people to learn about their heritage and develop pride in their cultural identity. Her work in these organizations and various community initiatives highlighted her commitment to education and helping youth reach their potential.
