Trump as the 45th president, desecrated America’s presidency. He immediately fashioned himself as a well-dressed, no nonsense, know it all outsider, rich and successful businessman. Yet, he demonstrated extraordinarily little knowledge and leadership skills as a president. Instead of surrounding himself with competent Cabinet members and staff, he recruited incompetent sycophant individuals who lacked integrity. He then, without any fear of Congress, decided to run the government as a proverbial political pimp, criminal, and aspiring dictator (PPCAD).

During the City of Tamarac’s Dec. 13, Regular City Commission meeting, the Tamarac City Commission unanimously voted to appoint District 2 Commissioner, Morey Wright, as the City’s Vice Mayor.

Lawrence-Walls opened her first community farm, Ivy Leaf Farms, in 2019. Hoping to use agriculture to promote food security within the neighborhood that raised her, she partnered with fellow farmer Jeremy Peaches and founded Black Farmer Box. The community support program provides locally sourced produce to residents in underserved communities. Lawrence-Walls and Peaches also saved profits from their business and opened Fresh Houwse Grocery in 2021, serving residents in the historically Black Sunnyside neighborhood of South Houston.
Last month, the group Black Christian Faith Leaders for Ceasefire took out a full-page ad in the New York Times pushing for president Joe Biden “to call for an immediate bilateral ceasefire in the Middle East for the sake of our shared humanity and our collective security”. More than 900 Black Christian faith leaders representing churches across the country backed the letter.
