      About four years ago, The Gantt Report told you The Cat would throw the blow that would knock “Teflon” Donald Trump off of his right-wing pedestal. The cat returned.

     “I think we all understand we have to be solutions driven. And the solutions are at hand,” Harris said at a climate summit earlier this month. “We need to make up for some lost time, no doubt. This is going to have an exponential impact on where we need to go.”

     It is time to reclaim the “stay woke” narrative back to its original definition and intention because the thought that Florida is where wake goes to die is fake news.

     The research is copious and hard to refute that minority media ownership is dismally low and discrimination is prevalent and persistent in the media industry. Women and people of color who decide to make media their careers have fewer opportunities than their male or white peers. This lack of diversity and opportunity needs to change. A proposed transaction awaiting the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) approval for close to a year will significantly advance diversity and minority capacity in the media industry.

Civil Rights Activist Essie Berry, the widow of the late Fred “ReRun” Berry from the 1970’s sitcom What’s Happening, is stepping into the ring with CVS Pharmacy. She has filed a complaint on behalf of Ms. Deborah Johnson, an employee of CVS Pharmacy previously known as Savon Drugs Store, who has been employed since 1995. The incident of retaliation and discrimination took place when Ms. Johnson  spoke out against the predator who committed sexual assault & harassment acts against her at the CVS Pharmacy located in Montclair, California.

With backing from Speaker Paul Renner, a House panel on Monday approved a bill that would lower the minimum age from 21 to 18 to buy rifles and other long guns in Florida.

     Kaleb McMichen, a spokesperson for House Speaker Jon Burns, said Naghise died Wednesday. Naghise died at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, where she had been hospitalized for several days, said Wan Smith, a friend and former coworker. No cause of death was given.

     A major acquisition that civil rights leaders and advocates for Black-owned media had hoped would increase media ownership, opportunity, and participation by African Americans and other minorities has apparently “hit a brick wall.”
