    Bethune-Cookman’s men’s basket-ball team was picked to finish ninth in the SWAC preseason polls, it was announced during media Day on Oct. 4.

    Texas Southern was picked to win the conference followed by Grambling State and Alcorn State.

    B-CU sophomore guard Zion Harmon was named to the All-SWAC Preseason First Team.

    The 6-foot guard from Temple Hills, Maryland averaged 13.7 points per game and was named both SWAC Newcomer of the Year and All SWAC Second Team last season.

    B-CU opens the season on Nov. 6 at Minnesota. Their first home game is on Nov. 10 against Trinity College.
