The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) recently granted Bethune-Cookman University College of Education accreditation for its educator preparation programs. This accreditation status is effective between Fall 2018 and Fall 2025.
The CAEP teacher preparation standards ensure that education preparation providers impart future teachers with the knowledge and skills to support the development of all students.
âThis accomplishment reflects the dedication, commitment and focus of our faculty and staff,â said Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Stephanie Henry. âWe are fully invested in continuing Bethune-Cookman Universityâs tradition of preparing the next generation of educators to teach the worldâs children, which is among the highest forms of service.â
The mission of the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation CAEP is to advance equity and excellence in educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation that assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning.
