History Fort Lauderdale celebrates Black History Month
History Fort Lauderdale, proud steward of our community’s past by making our heritage accessible and engaging to residents and visitors, will honor the contributions and creativity of our African American community during its annual Black History Month celebration. This year’s Dillard Center for the Arts’ Advanced Placement (AP) student exhibition and sale will include mixed media, charcoal, photography and digital art. The students, along with guest curator Celestin Joseph, AP studio art instructor, will be available for a meet and greet on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 1 – 3 p.m., at the New River Inn.
