BlakPac mourns the passing of co-founder George Farrell

      BlakPac, a national Super PAC co-founded by George T. Farrell III, is mourning  his passing on Sept. 24.

Farrell, 62, was the son of Isabella and George D. Farrell II. He was born and raised in Washington, D.C., where he received his early studies and subsequent college degree in finance from Howard University.

“George was a talented business leader, author and public servant, who cared deeply about his family, his community, his state and his nation,” said Farrell’s wife, Sandra Lopez, who was a co-founder of BlakPac. “He dedicated his life to making a positive difference in the lives of others.”

As a young man, Farrell served as a police officer in Washington, D.C., and was a successful owner and CEO of a major investment firm. Also, many remember Farrell for his impactful involvement in government and community development.

“He made a difference,” Lopez said.

Many accomplishments

Farrell’s business and political skills and insights resulted in local and national recognition of his many contributions on the federal level and in the state of Florida. His many awards include Tampa Bay Heritage Award; Superstar Award from the National Minority Women’s Economic Development  Loan Fund; National Outback Superstar Award  from the Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast; and congressional recognitions.

Along with his wife, Farrell created BLAKPAC.gop, a national Super Pac to encourage minority participation in conservative politics.

As an author, he wrote and published “Angry Black Man Guide to Success” and then “Success is Colorblind.”

He is survived by  Sandra Lopez, wife; children, George Farrell IV, Isabella  Farrell, Tasha Farrell and Diaz Farrell.
