FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. – Broward Health Medical Center clinicians were thrilled to join artist Joseph Gormley for a community-wide project. The group, including doctors, nurses and caregivers collaborated to create a stunning portrait of legendary soccer star, Lionel Messi, at Broward Health’s flagship hospital. The event was organized by Embrace Life Children’s Foundation.

This initiative is bringing together the unsung heroes of Broward County such as firefighters, law enforcement, local government, and healthcare workers to add a single brush stroke to a Messi painting.

Later this month, the Scottish artist will present this masterpiece to the Inter Miami player as a welcome gift to our community.

The Broward County janitor-turned-artist previously had four of his Messi paintings autographed by the soccer star himself and is in the process of auctioning them off for charity.
