POMPANO BEACH, FL — Broward Health Community Health Services distributed 1,000 turkeys along with supplemental bags of groceries to help families prepare a traditional holiday meal during its third annual event, held at the Annie L. Weaver Health Center in Pompano Beach on Thursday.

Broward Health leadership, caregivers and members of the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners (NBHD), as well as community leaders, were in attendance to distribute food and help those less fortunate.

“Broward Health is committed to the overall health and well-being of our community, whether it is within our four hospitals and numerous outpatient clinics or on the ground at events such as this,” said Stacy Angier, vice chair of North Broward Hospital District. “We remain committed to serving those most in need and wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.”

“Broward Health Community Health Services is privileged to continue to meet the evolving needs of our community,” said David Clark, senior vice president of operations at Broward Health. “We hope the donation of more than 1,000 turkeys, along with nutritious groceries, will help brighten the season for our patients and neighbors during this especially challenging year.”
