As the Pink Out sponsor, Broward Health attendees came dressed head-to-toe in pink.

Broward Health recently rallied 523 employees, friends and family members for the 2026 American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Saturday, October 17 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.

“It was great to see so many Broward Health employees and their families come together to support this important cause,” said Jamie Vargas, manager of employee experience at Broward Health. “Their participation and fundraising efforts demonstrate Broward Health’s commitment to supporting our community and raising awareness about the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection.”

As the event’s Pink Out sponsor, Broward Health dressed its team in head-to-toe pink to demonstrate its commitment to raising awareness, supporting those impacted by breast cancer and advancing efforts to improve outcomes for patients. Throughout the event, the Broward Health “Get Pinked Out” tent, featuring towels, bags, bucket hats and other pink swag, received nearly 1,500 booth visits from walk attendees.

The Broward Health team joined thousands of participants to celebrate survivors, honor loved ones and stand alongside individuals and families whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. The health system was recognized as a top 10 fundraising team and had one of the most registered participants of any team at the event, a reflection of the commitment of Broward Health employees to make a difference beyond the walls of its hospitals and facilities. The walk itself drew an estimated 25,000 people and raised around $1 million in funds.
