     Maintaining a healthy weight is important to healthy aging. It can reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breathing problems and high blood pressure, according to The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

The U.S. Centers for Control and Prevention have issued a new recommendation urging all adults to receive screening for hepatitis B at least once in their lifetime. The agency describes hepatitis B (HBV) as a liver infection caused by the HBV virus. It can progress to liver cancer and other serious illnesses. CDC officials said as many as 2.4 million people live with HBV, and most might not know they have it.

Colon cancer is now the second leading cause of death in America and is no longer considered only a problem for older men. In fact, colon cancer diagnoses in young people have experienced a dramatic increase in the last 30 years. A recently published report from the American Cancer Society finds that diagnoses of colon cancer in people younger than 55 doubled going from 11% in 1995 to 20% in 2019

      As the incessant flu and covid outbreaks continue to plague the US this winter season, it is not unheard of to take further precautions to keep your health in good shape.
