     The Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the Links, Incorporated ‘s Healthy Homestead series( a Southern Area Initiative) is available to be viewed on the chapter’s website www.fortlauderdalelinks.org. The series consist of Healthy Homestead I which covered Black Land Loss, How we lost it, How to keep it and How to get more of it. It dealt with  Wills, Trusts  and Real Estate Issues such as Fraudulent land claims, Heirs Property , No will, and other problems. (Original Air date was 2/19/2022).

A federal judge has tossed out a challenge to a controversial 2021 Florida law that includes requiring surveys about “intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity” on state college and university campuses.

Florida lawmakers are considering a proposal that would allow interest rates as high as 36 percent on consumer-finance loans, with supporters saying it would increase access to loans and opponents arguing it would hurt poor people.

         Florida A&M University is preparing for its 4th Annual Day of Giving ‘1887Strikes,’ which runs from 9 a.m. Thursday, April 20 to 4:27 p.m. Friday, April 21. Friends, alumni, faculty, students, and staff are being asked to financially support a broad range of initiatives and scholarships to benefit students.
