       This wasn’t a compromise. It was capitulation. After forty long days, the longest shutdown in U.S. history, America’s working class, the elderly, the sick, and the poor watched as their future, and their literal lives were traded away by the very people who promised to protect them.

The Neighborhood Partnership Committee convened Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Headquarters to focus on one powerful goal: increasing voter participation across Broward County ahead of the 2026 election season.

A powerful partnership between the Broward Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Trust Fund and local community advocates is driving new investments in safety, education, and equity. Together, they’re celebrating two impactful grants totaling $20,000 funding that will directly support Crime Prevention & Intervention Programs and the Youth Hate Crimes Education and Prevention Program.

       On March 17, the Broward Elks Lodge #652 won a jury verdict of fraud against Sator Investments, LLC, and conspiracy to commit fraud against by Kevin Eutsey and Sator Investments, LLC, after over seven years of fighting in Broward County Courts. The decision also quieted the deed title which returned the entire property at 712  North West 2nd Street back to Elks Lodge #652. However, during the trial a deal had been structured in the hallways by Sator’s lender HIF IV, Elks Lodge #652 attorney and the Elks Grand Exalted Ruler of the Grand Lodge, IBPOEW, to liquidate the local Elks property on 2nd Street in Fort Lauderdale, with a payoff of $1.85 million, and attorney fees.     

       Now you see it, now you don’t. Like a cheap magic frick, justice can disappear in a flash, through loopholes, slick tricks, skill maneuvering and cleaver tactics. So, you can win a jury decision for fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud, and still get your property in foreclosure. Add to which, a judge can decide that you get no compensation for your property being used by the crooks who fraudulently held it for 8 years while your case wound its way through a labyrinth court system.

       Demings opened a campaign account for governor Friday, a necessary first step to starting a campaign for the office currently held by Gov. Ron DeSantis. POLITICO reported last week that Demings was expected to announce his candidacy at a rally scheduled Thursday in Orlando.

       Command Master Chief (SWIAW Marshall E. Ford II born March 31, 1983, in the Republic of Panama, parents  Faye Baker Ford and Marshall E. Ford, Sr., both parents serving overseas in the United States Army. He is the grandson of Bernice and Clifford Baker Sr, long time residents of the Dorsey Riverbend community for more than 60 years.

        At 46 years old, I’ve learned that life isn’t just measured by the victories we celebrate; it’s also defined by how we handle the darts that come our way. Sometimes they come from co-workers, people in your organization, or even church members, the very places you expect support.

       Broward County Commissioner Hazelle P. Rogers, alongside Mayor Denise D. Grant of Lauderhill and Mayor Veronica Edwards-Phillips of Lauderdale Lakes, and Sharon Thomas of City of Lauderdale Lake, held a press conference Friday morning to highlight key initiatives aimed at helping those affected in the Caribbean.
