        The men of Lambda Alpha Alpha (“LAA”) and Sigma Delta Delta (“SDD”) Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will be conducting street cleanup of the 10th Avenue Corridor from Atlantic Avenue to Lake Ida Road and in Delray Beach, Florida on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 7:30am. Also, the men will be painting and landscaping the home of Seniors residing at 219 NW 10th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444.

  Pompano Beach Arts is thrilled to invite the community to attend an entertaining evening dedicated to celebrating the upcoming artistic season. State of the Arts: A Look Ahead is a must-attend event, bringing together residents, artists, and cultural enthusiasts from across South Florida.        “Moving in went very well. We collaborated with faculty, staff and students and organizations to make move in a success,” said Vice President for Student Affairs William E. Hudson, Jr., Ph.D. “Student housing is at approximately 95 percent capacity, but we still have others moving in and we are making adjustments for cancellations.”

While often associated with lower-income households, a recent study from No Kid Hungry Florida reveals a different narrative. As the cost of living soars, even middle-income families face adversity in securing nutritious meals.

       The Black History Study Palm Beach County series – an immersive, engaging curriculum presented by local educators and artists – has opened registration for students in grades 8-12. The new, free youth leadership program begins September 7, 2024, and is presented by The Black History Project, Inc. , The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum, Inc., and the Palm Beach County African Diaspora Historical and Cultural Society, Inc.

Bank of America recently announced four Broward County high school students were selected as Student Leaders® (#BofAStudentLeaders), an eight-week paid summer internship connecting students to employment, skills development and service. These community-minded students gained practical work and leadership experience and received financial education coaching through Bank of America’s Better Money Habits curriculum, while working with local nonprofits and earning competitive wages.
