  The family of former NFL star Vincent Jackson donated his brain as part of an effort to determine whether he suffered from CTE, also known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, according to The New York Times.

18-year old Leslie Adindu, a Nigerian native who is currently a homeless high school student from Forth Worth, Texas, has been recruited to play college football. He was able to achieve that feat despite all his challenges.

     “We know that before the passage of the ACA, people of color accounted for 54 per-cent of the uninsured in the United States, even though they only make up 35 percent of the population. Black women and other women of color — who already face systemic barriers to accessing health care — were dis-proportionately impacted,” Howell determined.
