Months later, after the unfortunate passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Romney stood in solidarity with his political party to support the rapid replacement of Bader’s seat before the upcoming presidential election – an action that goes against a stall tactic precedent set by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell during the last year of President Barack Obama’s term. My takeaway from Romney’s actions is simple: Black Lives Matter, but Black robes matter more.

     Sen. Kamala Harris won’t be traveling for the next few days after a couple of staffers associated with her campaign have tested positive for COVID-19. The campaign manager for Biden for President said they learned of the tests’ results Wednesday night and immediately took steps to make it clear that Harris was not “in close contact” with either of the staffers in the days leading up to their diagnoses.

“Our content team is made up of an amazing group of writers, editors and social media gurus who are eager to cover Dallas’ vibrant and talented Black community.” Noting the high level of engagement of the 25- to 42-year old demographic, Grace continued, “In fact, I think our coverage of the winners has the potential to make DW’s Best in Black Dallas 2020 campaign a conversation piece far beyond Election Day.”

     “It’s important to note that the FBI groups Hispanics in with whites, so the percentage of those reported missing in 2018 are 59 percent white and about 40 percent people of color. Think about that. African Americans make upare reported missing. The keyword is reported. There are many more.”

During the 2016 presidential campaign and amid constant attacks by then-Republican nominee Donald Trump against Democrat Hillary Clinton, Obama spoke of raising the bar in the battle of barbs and innuendo.
