    NewsOne on Wednesday hosted the first in its three-part virtual conversation series of panel discussions with corporate leaders and executives who are using their voices to advocate on behalf of Black communities. The series is the result of NewsOne’s partnership with 100 Black Men in America.

Dionn Megginson, an 11-year old girl from Texas, is making her way to excellence. At such an early age, she has just recently started classes as a 9th grader in high school. Dionn is a student at the school’s inaugural class at the Early College Academy where she’s taking honors Biology, English, Spanish, AP Human Geography, Dance and Culinary Arts.

On Monday, October 12, the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (NCBCP) will launch the final phase of its Unity 2020 Black Vote & Power Building National Campaign, which is a three-week GOTV and Voter Protection Push, starting off with hosting its Black Women’s Roundtable (BWR) Power Table Talk “Power of the Sister Vote” Intergenerational Virtual Townhall, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., EST. 

With people of color experiencing a higher death rate from COVID-19 than any other ethnic group in America, virologist, trauma surgeon, and chief medical officer of SRS Inc. Dr. Lane Rolling is offering ways to return to work and school more safely. Dr. Rolling, a certified chemical and biological warfare expert who is dedicated to saving lives and eradicating the coronavirus, is making an urgent call for change by speaking truth to power. His mission is driven by his passion to change today’s COVID-19 statistics to create a brighter tomorrow.

     Trump’s proposals for Black America include prosecuting Antifa and the Ku Klux Klan, making Juneteenth a holiday on the federal level and proposals focused on Black wealth. Trump’s proposal related to improving Black economic standing included an investment of $500 billion in Black communities. Trump did not disclose how he would pay for such a plan.

     “After watching [the presidential] debate, this signing can’t come too soon,” Newsome declared during a videoconference with lawmakers and other stakeholders, including the rapper Ice Cube, who championed the bill     “As a nation, we can only truly thrive when every one of us has the opportunity to thrive. Our painful history of slavery has evolved into structural racism and bias built into and permeating throughout our our democratic and economic institutions,” the governor stated.

       Donald Trump supposedly had a game plan going into Tuesday night’s debate, including using a Black woman in the audience as a prop, but — in classic form — he failed to execute it miserably when he instead resorted to racist antics in between his frequent lies and interruptions of Joe Biden.

African Americans who are recognized as an Afro-descendant Tribe by the Inter-American System have requested an emergency order of “Precautionary Measures” to manage the Coronavirus of their Tribal members. The request was filed in the Inter-American Commission by Chief Justice Mustafa Ansari, an international lawyer and member of the International Bar, who is representing the Afro-Descendant Nation Confederated US, a tribe of over 160,000 registered citizens and 44 million unregistered citizens.

     The digital arm of Trump’s 2016 digital team, called ‘Project Alamo’ included a team from the now defunct British company Cambridge Analytica. Two senior directors of the former Cam-bridge Analytica team are now working on the Trump 2020 campaign for The White House.
