  Amazingly, tens of millions of white supremacists practice a form of religion and attend church. Yet  they refuse to recognize that the Founding Fathers were deeply committed to a government that did not overtly or covertly become entangled with any religion. Nevertheless, throughout history religious zealots and white supremacists have weaponized their religion, fueled by racism, and cloaked in ignorance to intentionally deprive others of their  inalienable rights.

     A supermajority is when there is two-thirds or three fifths of a legislature, and is greater than a simple majority. When this happens, the party that is in control is able to get their agenda passed, and the other party has nothing they can do about it. Politics is about numbers and the Republicans and the governor are in control, because they have the numbers.

     Miyares clarified in the three-page opinion that a section of the Virginia code that covers the topic “prohibits an insurance carrier that provides coverage for cancer therapy from denying a patient coverage for proton radiation therapy when the coverage determination is based on the carrier’s application of a higher standard of clinical evidence to such treatment than it uses for treatments it otherwise approves.”

For example, you read about the stench of death and the impossibility of ignoring the smell; how could the people of Auschwitz pretend they did not know what was going on?

     As a Jew who mourns the death of everyone killed on October 7, and all those killed in the three months since (as well as all the dead over the previous 75 years), I’ve prayed and protested for an end to the fighting.
