ROLLING OUT — The tournament is the largest in World Cup history, featuring 48 teams divided into 12 four-team groups. Thirty-two teams will advance to the knockout stage, with the top two finishers from each group joined by the eight best third-place teams. The final will be played July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Ron Coleman was the first Black athlete on scholarship at the University of Florida, serving as a member of the Track and Field team. He grew up in Ocala, a child to a barber and a teacher. His parents were both active during the Civil Rights Movement, and his father attended the March on Washington.
