    Chi Psi Omega Chapter of AK A Sorority, Inc. wins four awards at annual Cluster Meeting

    Chi Psi Omega of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated, was the winner of four awards at its annual Cluster I Meeting, Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in Boca Raton, hosted by the ladies of Kappa Kappa Omega Chapter.

    The chapter won the Barbara Mason-Gardner Award presented to the graduate chapter having the highest number of reactivated members in attendance, Maria Jerkins Award presented to the graduate chapter having the highest number of silver stars in attendance, Alexandria Holoway Award presented to the graduate chapter having the highest percentage of silver stars in attendance and the Blanche Alexander-McFadden Award presented to the graduate chapter having the highest percentage of reactivated members in attendance via a three-way tie.

    More than four hundred were in attendance at the event.

    Chapter members compete at the international, regional as well as on local levels and are no strangers to winning awards as they were the recipient of the prestigious inaugural Ethel Award in 2012 for Economic Security; the only one of its kind in the South Atlantic Region.

    Members in attendance and ensuring success of the awards were Barbara J. Thomas, president, Andrea Bailey-Dowling, Lakeitha Baugh, Juline Blanfort, Kassandra L. Burton, Tabitha Bush, Antoinette Coats-Smith, Sherri Cooper, Sabrina Colston-Leslie, Gracia Curlee-Gordon, Marie Duperval, Kimberly L. Dupont, Bennie J. Edwards, Paula Edwards, Tahnese Flournoy, Vicki B. Flournoy, Quowando Ford-Brown, Jerelene S. Franklin, Sophonie Gaspard, Revertha W. Grace, Michelle Green, Adrea C. Hightower, Olivia B. Hilton, Desire’ Hulse, Sharon L. Jordan, Brandi K. Joseph, Candace M. Kennedy, Emma H. Kurtz, Ann B. Lee, Catrice Lee-Brown, Nichole Maurrase, Joel D. McCray, Takesha McCray, Venetta McCullough, Trivel McKire, Tscharner Miller-Strapp, Carla N. Navarro, Josetta B. Patterson, Manassa Petithomme, Veronica E.
