Sadly, a Richmond County Investigator, Cecil Ridley, was killed in the line of duty. Unfortunately, his death was used as an opportunity to un-fairly criticize a segment of the Augusta, GA community.

Alvin Theodore Hester, Jr., age 24, fatally shot Investigator Ridley. As an adult, he alone is responsible for his behavior. However, Austin Rhodes has a different point of view. During his Wednesday, November 20, 2019 radio show, Rhodes delivered a racially nuanced diatribe which suggested a certain segment of the African American community is responsible for Hester’s behavior.

A racially nuanced diatribe from a conservative radio host is nothing more than a dog whistle meant for certain listeners to justify their racial prejudices.trrrrg
