    USA

    1.9 million cases, 110,513 deaths

    Florida

    63,938 cases, 10,942 hospitalizations, 2,700 deaths

    Broward

    7,631 cases, 1,567 hospitalizations, 339 deaths

    Important to Know

    • Know your coronavirus “hot” zones – Despite a general slowdown in the daily rate of increase in new coronavirus cases, Florida is among 20 states in which the rate of new cases is rising. Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties are the center of this hotspot. There is a higher prevalence of infection in South Florida because this area is more densely populated than the rest of the state. Within each county there are zones that have a higher level of coronavirus cases.  Broward zip codes with higher densities have higher levels of coronavirus cases:
    • 33311 – This zip code includes all or part of Lauderdale Lakes, Wilton Manors, Lauderhill, Fort Lauderdale, Lazy Lake, Oakland Park, Plantation, Boulevard Gardens, Franklin Park, Roosevelt Gardens, Washington Park. There are 461 cases of coronavirus in this zip code.
    • 33313 – This zip code includes all or part of Sunrise, Lauderdale Lakes, Lauderhill, Plantation. There are 375 coronavirus cases here.
    • 33023 – This area includes all or part of Miramar, Pembroke Park, West Park, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines. There are 352 cases here.
    • 33025 – This area includes all or part of Miramar, Pembroke Pines Country Club and Miami Gardens. There are 369 coronavirus cases in this zip code. Coronavirus has not disappeared. The virus is still circulating and will continue to cause new infection if there are targets (us) for infection. Reduce your chances of infection by remaining vigilant. Continue to observe social distancing rules, wash hands often and wear a mask when out in public. Avoid crowds and limit your exposure to densely packed indoor settings.    For more information on coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention, visit www.FloridaHealth.org; www.cdc.gov
