Update
Coronavirus cases have been flat across the US over the last two weeks.
The daily number of deaths remains flat, an average of 350. The death rate from COVID-19 disease has remained constant over the last four months.
In Florida, new coronavirus cases have risen two percent (2%) over the previous two weeks. Deaths have risen seven percent (7%), over the last two weeks.
Announcement: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported an increase in RSV detections and hospitalizations recently. According to the CDC, Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV, is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, especially for infants and older adults.
