    Daytona State men’s hoops ranked No. 1 in Region 8

    The Daytona State College men’s basketball team (10-0) is off to a hot start.

    The Falcons are ranked No. 1 in the Region 8 Coaches poll. They are also ranked No. 4 in the nation in the NCJAA Division I poll.

    DSC recently picked up wins over previous No. 1 in the nation Northwest Florida State College 85-79 on Nov. 28 and Tallahassee Community College 90-78 on Dec. 3.

    DSC is averaging 104.6 ppg, which is third in the nation; 11.8 m 3pt fg pg, which is fifth in the nation, 22.6 apg, which ties for seventh in the nation.

    The Falcons feature: Kylin Green (13.5 ppg, 6.4 apg, 4.9 rpg and 2.8 spg); Josue Grullon (20.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 2.6 apg); Victor Panov (12.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg); Breylin Garcia (13.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg); Dylan Diaz (10.9 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.6 apg) and Isaiah Dorceus (10.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg).

    Daytona State next hosts Albany Technical College on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.
