Defense Department still investigates UFO’s Pentagon spokesman admits

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam has taught and convened a major panel featuring several experts on UFOs during one of the Muslim organization’s Saviours’ Day conventions.

The United States Department of Defense has admitted it researched and investigated unidentified aerial phenomena or more commonly known UFOs––Unidentified Flying Objects—in a secret government initiative called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.

Christopher Sherwood, a Pentagon spokesman told the New York Post, the Defense Department still investigates claims of UFO sightings and experiences of service people, although the AATIP Program was axed in 2012. Before now, the Defense Department held the program, that began in 2005 with its $22 million annual budget, highly secret.

In a statement provided exclusively to The Post, a Department of Defense spokesman said a secret government initiative called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program “did pursue research and investigation into unidentified aerial phenomena,” reported the New York Post in its May 22 article titled, “The Pentagon finally admits it investigates UFOs.”

“This is just one of many programs that has been designated to monitor and even try to counter UFO activity,” said Illia-Rashad Muhammad, author of the book, “UFOs and The Nation of Islam: The Source, Proof, and Reality of The Wheels.”

While skeptics persist, for years former military personnel, airline pilots and ordinary citizens have argued they have witnessed objects in the sky they argue are “not of this world.” For decades, The Final Call newspaper has published research chronic-ling the existence of what are commonly called UFOs but what the Nation of Islam refers to as IFOs—Identified Flying Objects.

“If the Pentagon is just now admitting that they had one program … this lets us know they’ve had several more programs and initiatives since the UFO phenomenon occurred,” Illia-Rashad Muhammad told The Final Call.

Nick Pope, who secretly investigated UFOs for the British government during the 1990s, called the latest U.S. Department of Defense disclosure a “bombshell revelation.”

Mr. Pope told the New York Post prior statements on the subject were “ambiguous and left the door open” to criticism the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was only concerned about threats from aircraft, missiles and drones from foreign nations. “This new admission makes it clear that they really did study what the public would call ‘UFOs,’” he said.

The Defense Department’s term “unidentified aerial phenomena” shows British in-fluence, added Mr. Pope. “It was the term we used in the (British) Ministry of Defense to get away from the pop culture baggage that came with the term ‘UFO.’”

Scholars who study the existence of the crafts tend to agree that the technology is advanced compared to what is understood globally. Some estimate the technology is 80 million years ahead of the most advanced science in the U.S., Russia, and China.

The behavior of the UFOs themselves demonstrates what is clearly “intelligence,” scientists’ reason. The craft have been sighted alone, in pairs, and “sometimes in thousands,” standing still, making formations, some resembling “big parades” in the sky, said scholars during a major plenary session on the subject in Rosemont, Illinois, in February 2011.

Before the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, the U.S. Air Force had Project Blue Book, which investigated more than 12,000 purported UFO sightings between 1952 and 1969. The interest by the U.S. government has never ended, only protocols in responding varied. The Defense Department changed how encounters are reported.

It’s a response to unknown, advanced aircraft flying into or near Navy strike groups or other sensitive military facilities and formations, said the U.S. Navy.

“There were a number of different reports,” said Joseph Gradisher, a Navy spokesman. “Some cases could have been commercial drones,” but with others “we don’t know who’s doing this, we don’t have enough data to track this.” Mr. Gradisher explained the intent of the new policy to provide updated guidance on reporting procedures for suspected “intrusions into our airspace,”

But Navy pilots were demanding military officials find real means whereby UFO sightings can be reported. “For so long they had protocols in the military where they had to be quiet and were not allowed to go public,” said Illia-Rashad Muhammad.

Reports of sightings occurred daily between 2014 and 2015 on the East Coast. Navy pilots reported seeing flying objects that had no apparent engine or exhaust trails and moved at hypersonic speeds.

Lieutenant Ryan Graves, a veteran Navy pilot told The New York Times in a 2014 interview how the objects had unprecedented moves.

“These things would be out there all day. Keeping an aircraft in the air requires a significant amount of energy. With the speeds we observed, 12 hours in the air is 11 hours longer than we’d expect.”

The Times reported that Lt. Graves and four other pilots, saw the objects in 2014 and 2015 during training maneuvers from Virginia to Florida off the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt.

But along with sightings by military personnel and private professional pilots there have been numerous experiences of private citizens. There are many conferences convened by organizations worldwide discussing UFOs.

The U.S. is lagging behind other countries that declassified their records on UFOs. A partial list includes the United Kingdom, Russia, China, Mexico and France—being the first country to open their files in 2007 according to the New Scientist online. However, unlike other countries the United States keeps the information highly classified and among a few people.

Meanwhile, considering all things in space and defending against all things foreign, proposed legislation to form a Space Force, a sixth branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, was sent to Congress in early March by the Defense Department. If approved by Congress, the U.S. Space Force would be the first military service established since the Air Force began in 1947.

UPI reported the Defense Department has established a full-time task force to conduct detailed planning for the new service. The department’s fiscal year 2020 defense budget request is $72.4 million to establish it and a projected $500 million annually to fund it. According to the DoD, China and Russia are developing similar space programs.

But the question is why? What threats are spanning space against the world powers?

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam have taught and convened a major panel featuring several experts on UFOs during one of the Muslim organization’s Saviours’ Day conventions.

“The U.S. government and its top scientists have known about the presence of The Great Wheel since the 1940’s, when they raided the home of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and confiscated his and Master Fard Muhammad’s writings about and drawings of The Wheel,” Min. Farrakhan pointed out during his 2013 weekly broadcast series, The Time and What Must Be Done.

The Minister characterized those hiding the truth of the crafts a “shadow government” controlled by a global elite doing everything in their power to keep the truth secret. This includes intelligence activities carried out through the implementation of “Black Budget Operations.” They are able to use their influence to avoid scrutiny, engage in covert actions to achieve their objectives and virtually nullify the U.S. Constitution.

“Hiding the truth is a very serious thing to do. It causes harm and disappointment and causes one to be misled. It causes loss of property and life. It causes the loss of friendship, beloved ones, and loss of confidence and trust,” said the Minister, quoting an excerpt from the book, “Our Saviour Has Arrived”by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, patriarch of the Nation of Islam

With the encounters of UFOs billions are spent confusing the American people in order to conceal the truth, he said. When people come forward to talk about what they’ve witnessed or experienced, they are ridiculed, mocked and in some cases, intimidated and threatened into silence.

“Members of the government would visit those who said that they saw or knew, and frightened them, that if they ever told what they saw or what they knew…they would be discredited or even put to death!” said Min. Farrakhan.

Amidst waves of sightings, before the recent “bombshell” by the Defense Department, Pentagon officials acknowledged earlier this year they studied and monitored UFOs, said Illia-Rashad Muhammad.

The actual truth the government is withholding is the connection between the crafts and the 89-year-old Muslim organization that has disseminated information about the crafts since the early 1930s. The Nation of Islam has taught the so-called UFOs are advanced technology designed to destroy America. The crafts were created by the Great Mahdi, Master Fard Muhammad.

Illia-Rashad Muhammad said it was around this time mass sightings, military encounters, widespread reports, and official government investigations into UFOs began—and the Nation of Islam played a pivotal role.
