WHAT WE BLACKS NEED TO DO—PART 2 During my 34 years teaching vocational education (shop), I taught my students a new word every week. Our parents need to learn with their children to make “good” education happen in their home. This lesson will help parents and students learn new words each week during the 52 weeks in 2022. I will post one each Sunday on my Facebook page (James Hankins).

AUTOCRACY means self-power, one person or group holds all the power, no freedom, and rights except what the government allows that can be changed at any time with no written constitution. The leader comes to power by overthrowing the government or a fake election. President Vladimir Putin won his election by receiving 77% of the votes. His cronies (yes men) counted the votes and made the outcome what they wanted it to be. The few brave people who didn’t vote for him were putting their lives on the line. Putin has been president for over 12 years and can be elected to two more six- year terms.

The war/attack on Ukraine is ongoing because Putin “said so.” If he is found dead tomorrow, the war will stop because he is the “ONLY FOOL IN RUSSIA THAT WANTED A WAR.”  DEMOCRACY means people power – the power and strength of the government are given to it by the people. The “1st class citizens” enjoy freedom and rights that were written in the constitution or laws written by congress; the people can demand changes in the constitution by way of amendments (there have been 27 adopted to date). AMENDMENT is a formal or official change made to a law, contract, constitution, or other legal document. It is based on the verb to amend, which means to change for better.

President Joe Biden was elected to a four-year term by receiving over eight million more votes than TRUMP in a fair election. In the constitution we find these words: “All men are created equal.” At one time women were not considered equal and did not receive the right to vote until 1920. We Blacks were less than white women and counted as 3/5 of a man. That was 100% pure discrimination, but then along came the 14th and 19th Amendments to correct it. (All power to the people). Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” Are you and all in your home over 17 registered to vote
