Governor DeSantis dismal 2024 Republican Presidential launch is a clear indication that he isn’t ready for prime time. However, what he thinks is just a slight bump in the road, is really a sign that major sinkholes, filled with quicksand, lay in his path. Undoubtedly, his staffers were afraid to warn him or believed also that his Florida anti-isms were his ticket to the White House.
Being an Ivy League graduate and having won Florida Governorship by a landslide, DeSantis believes that he can upstage Trump’s racists rhetoric. He thinks that he can charm uneducated Republican voters with his anti-isms and corral the educated with a semblance of moderate conservatism.
Here again, DeSantis lack of readiness for grandstand campaigning outside of Florida is apparent. He’s opening a seis pool like sinkholes filled with his vehement anti-isms attack against American African History, Immigrants, women reproductive rights, and the LGBTQ community. Educated voters find it difficult to fantom his level of outrageous stupid campaign blunders.
Again, not being too smart, he and other Republicans hijacked the term WOKE and uses it as an insult against progressive values. His attacks against Disney and Anheuser-Busch are a form of bullying plus selective targeted discrimination. This self-induced sinkhole is likely to become a canyon once he learns Peter Pan is a female cast as a boy.
It’s reported that Florida has approximately 2000 special districts, which are not on DeSantis’ Cultural Wars WOKE hit lists. Their special district privileges are safe if they don’t treat gay people as ordinary people!
DeSantis unequivocally stated, “American African History doesn’t have any value.” This is tantamount to stating that Black people are valueless in America. This is a huge sinkhole that he’s fallen into alongside his negative polling. Certainly, Black people won’t be casting him a lifeline.
But guess who the polls are uncovering democratic voters should begin cheering and applauding? Well, it’s those educated Republican voters who thinks DeSantis has gone far too astray to the right. He recently signed into law a six-week abortion ban, an open carry gun bill, an earlier don’t say gay bill, and House Bill (HB) 1557, Parental Rights in Education.
DeSantis must have been standing knee is a sinkhole filled with horse manure or quicksand when he uttered these words, “parents should be protected from schools using classroom instruction to “sexualize their kids as young as 5 years old.” Merriam-Webster defines sexualize, “as to make sexual; endow with a sexual character or cast.” What’s DeSantis definition of “sexualized?” Will he ban career learning centers from all pre-K and kindergarten classrooms to prevent teachers from sexualizing career awareness instruction?
Again, DeSantis uses racists homophobic topics to heighten the obnoxious fears of, as the polls label them, uneducated Republicans. This tactic too creates another sinkhole causing his poll numbers to drop. It shouldn’t be surprising staffers have decided to jump ship before the sinkholes turn to icebergs as he heads up North to campaign.
Someone on his staff should warn him against taking advantage of uneducated Republican voters. They may learn that his pledged to cut Social Security (SS) benefits for the younger generation rather than current recipients is just another deceitful sinkhole tactic. Do they not realize he’s plotting to cut (SS) benefits for their children as well as grandchildren? Are they that uneducated to not care what happens to future members of their own families? If this isn’t an example of insanity, what is?
Is it not obvious that DeSantis wants to create an elitest educational track system primarily for white students in America? He’s already field-tested his plot in Florida by neutering School Boards, siphoning funding from public schools to fund choice and parochial schools, and criminalizing WOKE instruction.
If the other sinkholes, plus his assaults on public education doesn’t sink his campaign, like icebergs sank the Titanic, he’s going to join Trump by becoming the Republican’s Party worst two headed “monster” and the greatest threats to America’s “Republic.”
