The Miami-Dade County Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) has announced that applications are now open for the Dream Homes Lottery. This initiative offers a chance for individuals to purchase one of two available homes in Miami. The application period runs from July 24 to August 7, 2024.
The homes feature 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, with sizes of 1,813 square feet and 1,777 square feet, respectively. To be eligible, applicants must meet certain criteria, including a minimum credit score of 580, household income at or below 120% of the area median income, and a commitment to use the home as a primary residence for 20 years.
Ten qualified applicants will be selected through a computer-generated random process. Those chosen will be contacted to proceed with financing and must complete an 8-hour Homebuyer Education Course and secure financing within 45 days.
