    Empowered To Thrive, Inc. Announces Its First Annual Charity Fundraiser to Support Women Have Been Diagnosed With Cancer

            FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, — The Empowered To Thrive, Inc. (ETT) Foundation is proud to host its First Annual Charity Event, “Courage and Couture” Luncheon /Fashion Show, set to take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Jacaranda Country Club in Plantation, Florida.  The event aims to raise funds to directly support our programs to assist cancer survivors in our community and to continue to educate the community on the importance of learning how to reduce their cancer risks.

    About Empowered To Thrive, Inc. Foundation:

    Founded in 2021, Empowered To Thrive, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women who have been diagnosed with cancer.  Th founder, Deetra Sands, Durham, is a stage 4 ovarian cancer survivor.

    This year’s event will feature a delicious buffet luncheon and an amazing fashion show that will celebrate resilience, strength and beauty in all of its forms.  “Courage and Couture” combines high fashion with the theme of bravery; the event will showcase bold/vibrant designs that represent the fearless and courageous spirit of cancer survivors.

    ETT will be joined by CatWalk Pros, a professional model production company.  Their expertise in runway coaching and fashion production brings elegance to our event. Professional make up services, provided by GKG Management LLC, will enhance the beauty of all of the models. We will feature designs from well know designers; MI4 African Clothing & Accessories, Ruth Louissaint Fashion Designer and Tanya Marie Celebrity designer and stylist.
