    FAMU Office of Communications Wins Five Collegiate Advertising Awards

    Florida A&M University Office of Communications won five Collegiate Advertising Awards for work done from January to December 2023.

    “I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished. This team was assembled to tell the FAMU story across multiple platforms and we are doing just that,” Office of Communications Director Keith Miles said.

    Art Director  Brion Eason’s food court mural won a Gold Award for the under the poster/logo series. He won a Silver Award for the 40Under40 flyer for logos, mascots and trademarks and a Silver Award for a Southwestern Athletic Conference flyer in the Sports Specific, Poster/Display category. The A&M Magazine fall 2023 issue won a Silver Award.

    “This body of work transcends mere aesthetics, touching upon profound cultural narratives and embodying a passionate commitment to continue striking in excellence,” Eason said.

    Media Coordinator Javonni Hampton won a Silver Award for the President’s Point of View, an interview shows that airs on YouTube, Orange TV in Orlando and FAMU-TV 20.

    “The President’s Point of View is just getting started,” Hampton said. “We have a lot of video production in store with more educational and inspirational conversations about FAMU, and we are aiming for even greater success stories next season.”
