To discuss transitioning FAMU into a new era: With unified purpose

The Florida A&M University (FAMU) National Alumni Association (FAMU-NAA) has planned an exciting agenda that will include a town hall meeting and student recruitment fair during its 2013 FAMU National Alumni Convention. The convention will be held May 16-18, 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Guest speakers and friends of the university will inspire Rattlers to embrace the convention theme: “Transitioning Into A New Era With Unified Purpose.”

The FAMU-NAA National Alumni Convention Committee has worked diligently to orchestrate a high quality, informative, and enjoyable convention. The three-day event is filled with workshops and activities will reignite, renew and reenergize the “Ole Rattler” spirit.  Attendees will have the opportunity to reconnect with friends and classmates while taking pleasure in the many offerings of South Florida.

“We are excited that the Florida Region along with the Broward County Alumni Chapter will serve as our hosts,” said Gregory Clark, 1st Vice President for the FAMU-NAA and Convention Chairman. “We invite the entire FAMU community to come and meet the officers of FAMU National Alumni Association, the current university administration and fellowship with Rattlers from across the country. It is imperative that we get involved and play an integral role in the future of the National Alumni Association and our illustrious university. “The Broward County Alumni with assistance of surrounding chapters have worked non-stop to make sure this is a conference to remember” said Mary Smith, Broward Alumni President.
