Fort Lauderdale’s city administration is making moves, shuffling deck chairs with a batch of fresh promotions, Acting City Manager Susan Grant is lighting the way for a crew of city workers stepping up the ladder, as recognized by Grant in a statement released early Thursday.

Laura Reece is taking the helm as Acting Assistant City Manager, not wasting a moment to dive into overseeing some of the city’s heavy hitters such as Finance and Human Resources. Alongside Reece, Ben Rogers manages everything from Parks and Recreation to the Real Estate Office.

Yvette Matthews is stepping in as Acting Director of the Office of Management and Budget. She’s the numbers guru tasked with keeping Fort Lauderdale’s finances straight and narrow. Mopped up into the role of Acting Director of Transportation and Mobility, Milos Majstorovic is being handed the reins to steer the city’s transport into the future. Meanwhile, Anthony Fajardo has been tapped for a well-deserved promotion, taking the lead in the Development Services Department, Neighbor Support, Information Technology Services, and Agenda Coordination.

“These promotions reflect the outstanding contributions and admirable work ethic displayed by these individuals throughout their tenure with the city,” said Grant. For more details on the promotions and the future plans for these trailblazers, set your sights on the City of Fort Lauderdale’s official statement.
