This past week the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue proudly honored the trailblazing legacy of Lieutenant Bobby G. Glenn, the department’s first African American firefighter. A special display featuring Lt. Glenn’s uniform was unveiled, celebrating his groundbreaking career and contributions to the community.

In a gesture of preservation and education, Lt. Glenn’s uniform will be donated to the African American Research Library, located at 2650 Sistrunk Blvd. The uniform will be available for public viewing by appointment and can be arranged through Broward County’s special collections page.
