When I was in school a zillion years ago, we sang a cute little song, School Days, that talked about the three R’s: Reading “Riting” and “Rithmetic”!
Now as an old fart, it’s obvious and unsettling that a fourth “R” is necessary, RUN!
School shootings have become the leading cost of death to our children and that place that was once one of three safe places with home and church being the other two no longer exist!
Politicians offer bullschitt excuses for not passing universal background checks and other protections that don’t infringe upon one’s 2nd amendment rights at all.
Learning is severely thwarted because our children have to be concerned about leaving school alive.
This fascination with guns and the slivering spineless politicians’ unwillingness to stand up to the problem keeps our schools, our shopping centers, our movies, our churches, our society in crisis mode.
Frankly Speaking , It’s time we get our children from under the gun!
