Since being founded in 2009 by Dr. Ciara Bostick, the organization has partnered with Broward County Parks and Recreation to create afterschool programs, summer camps, and two nightly teen programs for at-risk children and teenagers throughout the area. One program, Sister to Sistah, offers a chance for those ages 12-18to interact with community leaders and other positive role models while another, the virtual Read HERS Book Club, is designed for those girls in sixth through eighth grade and introduces new life skills through literature.
