In America, ‘In God We Trust’ is preached, but ‘In Gun We Trust’ is practiced, leading to over 48,000 lives being lost to gun violence.

A Pew Research Center article titled, What the data says about gun deaths in the U.S., by John Gramlich, states, “In 2021, the most recent year for which complete data is available, 48,830 people died from gun-related injuries…In 2021, 54% of all gun-related deaths in the U.S. were suicides (26,328), while 43% were murders (20,328).”

According to provisional CDC data, 48,117 people died by guns in 2022. In 2022, 56% of all gun-related deaths in the U.S. were suicides (26,992), while 41% were murders (19,592). Moreover, in 2022, the gun suicide rate among Black children and teens (ages 10-19) surpassed that of White children and teens for the first time on record. Gun deaths do not discriminate.

It’s time for the grown-ups to grow up and trust God more and guns less.
