FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. — The Guerrieri Family Foundation, in an ongoing commitment to the mission of Holy Cross Health, has announced that its latest donation brings the foundation’s total giving to more than $7 million.

“We are so grateful to the Guerrieri family for their incredible support of Holy Cross over the years,” Holy Cross CEO and President Mark Doyle said. “Because of their commitment and generosity, we continue to serve our community with healthcare excellence, cutting edge treatment, and compassionate and comprehensive care.”

The generous gift will fund the renovation of the three-story Holy Cross Medical Complex at 4701 N. Federal Highway, which will be renamed the Guerrieri Family Medical Complex. At the Guerrieri Family Medical Complex, patients will have access to Holy Cross Medical Group primary care physicians starting December 11, 2023.

“The renovations will include multiple physician offices and exam rooms designed to enhance the patient experience,” said Karan Munuswamy, M.D., Medical Director of Philanthropy for Holy Cross Heath.

“The Guerrieri Family Foundation has a long history with Holy Cross,” said Holy Cross Health Vice President and Chief Development Officer Laura Denoux. “We appreciate their support as we continue to bring the highest level of quality care to our patients.”

In 2001, the Guerrieri Family Foundation made a transformational gift to Holy Cross, and in recognition, the non-profit hospital’s soaring two-story main lobby featuring the Holy Cross Health and Sisters of Mercy History Wall was named the Guerrieri Family Foundation Lobby.

Then in 2012, the Guerrieri Family Foundation donated a substantial gift to name the Patricia R. Guerrieri Pavilion at the Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women’s Center at Holy Cross HealthPlex, which offers community education rooms; a café and teaching kitchen; medical spa; lifestyle counseling rooms; health education lobby; volunteer office; and physician suites.

“We strongly believe in Holy Cross Health and its charitable mission,” said Alan Guerrieri. “Our donation will support Holy Cross Health’s strategic growth plan, which is designed to serve the healthcare needs of our community for years to come.”
