    From Stacey Abrams

I am writing to ask you to split a donation between my campaign and U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, but first I want to share with you a story that illustrates why I am in this race.

When I was growing up, we only had one car, so my dad would sometimes have to hitch rides or walk for long stretches of the 30-mile trip home from the shipyards where he worked.

One rainy night, Mom got worried. So we piled in the car and went out looking for him. When we found Dad walking along the road, he was soaking wet and shivering in his shirtsleeves. He explained that he had given his coat to a homeless man he’d met on the highway.

Why did he give away his only jacket? Dad told us the reason in the car that night:    “I knew when I left that man, he’d still be alone. But I could give him my coat, because I knew you were coming for me.”

None of us succeed alone – when times are tough, we can persevere because our family, friends and neighbors will come for us.

Together, we are coming to build a better future for all Georgians, where they know they are supported by their leaders. Will you split a $5 contribution between me and Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto today toward our fight for opportunity for all Georgians?

I’m running for governor because I am ready to lead Georgia to its next and greatest chapter  — where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, where Georgians know that someone is coming for them, too.

The strength of this campaign lies in supporters like you who believe in a brighter future for all of Georgia. Please split a $5 contribution between Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto and my campaign right now to invest in a brighter future for our state.

     Thank you for your support,

    Stacey
