Successful media and lifestyle entrepreneur Rodney Henry in acquisition deal with Erik Tazzari of Tazzari Group, Italy – Will expand operations and bring manufacturing to the U.S.

Tazzari Group is a group of companies founded in 1963 by the entrepreneur Giorgio Tazzari. However, it is thanks to an idea in 2006 that was clearly ahead of its time by his son, President Erik Tazzari that the ZERO Project came to life. The goal was to create an electric car for urban use with never-before-seen technical characteristics, including an innovative ultra-light chassis technology that uses aluminum fusions assembled with aerospace structural glues and the most advanced technology for lithium battery management for extraordinary performance and autonomy. The Zero’s path of development resulted in the production of the world’s first zero-emission city car born completely and exclusively electric with lithium battery technology.
“We are excited to announce the expansion of manufacturing to the U.S. as Imola Automotive USA, LLC under the leadership of Rodney Henry our new CEO. Mr. Henry will lead the complete expansion of Imola Automotive USA including all Tazzari brands. I will continue operating all existing businesses in the same fashion at our plant in Italy with existing personnel. There will be no changes to the vision or mission. The company will use its knowledge and expertise developed since 1963 to teach and train our American Workforce in the art of Italian automobile craftsmanship. We will travel to America to establish a training program that will blend our standards of quality with the values of American Made to create a gold standard of products. We are looking forward to the cross pollination of ideas and innovation between continents. Our workforces will have opportunities to design develop and create products in our Innovation Laboratories in America and Italy,” says President of Tazzari Group, Erik Tazzari.
Imola Automotive USA LLC is going to use its Tazzari Design chassis and other advanced technologies to manufacture a range of vehicles suitable for the American market.
“Mr. Henry will use his vast experience in building brands to continue building upon the foundation started by Tazzari Group. He has decided to pay homage to the company’s Italian heritage and legacy by naming the company Imola, after the center of Formula One and Grand Prix Racing,” Tazzari added.
“After several trips, I fell in love with the culture of Bologna and the rich history of Imola Italy. Erik Tazzari and I developed ‘un grande amicizia’ a strong friendship and began to see our common values and decided to consummate this relationship. I am excited to blend an American workforce with the culture, creativity and craftsmanship of ‘La mia famiglia di Designers Italiani’ my family of Italian Designers. I selected US communities with similar welcoming values as Italy for our manufacturing plants,” said Rodney Henry.
