When Martin Luther King, III spoke at the 9th Annual YMCA Broward MLK, Jr. Inspirational Breakfast in Fort Lauderdale, he was greeted by Novice Johnson a former classmate who shared a Political Science class with King when she studied at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and King studied across the street at Morehouse College. As fate would have it, a generation earlier, their fathers were classmates at Morehouse as well. King reminded the audience that the YMCA was a proud part of his early years with his Dad and encouraged the local branches to continue their great work.
